Change Background Color in GC Chemstation D.01

Does anyone know how to change the background color for the windows in Chemstation? Or the integration line? Sometimes the Dark blue line is hard to see against the Black Background. I know later versions of Chemstation the background is a very light blue which is aesthetically pleasing.

At least for earlier versions:

see below, go to win.ini, save the file as a different name, and print for backup. Then find the line of interest in the [PCS] section, you'll see the color code after it, change it, save win.ini, see if you like the change. This way you can always go back.

Common Agilent ChemStation PCS Colors
0 255 0 green

0 255 255 light blue

255 0 255 purple

0 0 128 dark purple

255 255 255 yellow

0 0 255 blue

0 0 0 black

255 255 255 white



Chromatography traces darker for printing on Laserjet printers, when using a white background:

Exit ChemStations, use Configuration Editor, Configure colors, to change Signal 1 from default blue (0 0 255) to dark purple (0 0 128), then Save the configuration. This will print darker on a black Laserjet printer, especially when the printer is set up to print 2 or 4 sheets to a page of paper.

This changes (in the Windows\win.ini file) the line in the [PCS,1] section that had been DEChrom1=0 0 255 to DEChrom1=0 0 128. So this change can also be made in the Windows\win.ini file directly, and saved, and would then become active next time the ChemStation is initialized.

I'm not seeing any PCS line in the win.ini file. It might be that we don't have admin access to these computers or could it be that Later Chemstation programs use a different method of gathering color information?

I figured it out for later versions of Chemstation From D.01 up to Rev E.02. It's actually simple and I can't believe I missed it.
