which type?
the older ones
the newer ones?
what do you intent to do with it?
are you a regulated lab?

in any case in my view these days most hardwares are very similar
the important factors to always check is service support
application support
and software
Hitachi now can be used with ezchrom/openlab, empower, chromeleon
I prefer the last one

the new model looks nice, but I never used it.
I used all the other generations before that, once you make sure to handle them correctly they are work horses.

Thanks. New Flexar Perkin-Elmer HPLC for a regulated lab to analyse oligo purity (high salt Ion-Exchange Methods used). Have you had issues with their service support?

perkin elmer has less then 50 HPLCs in our country, i have no real knowledge of their systems
the local rep is doing a veyr poor work of technical support

like said before
local support is one key aspect for choosing an HPLC
