Varian 3800 TCD & communications board

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

My lab recently acquired a free Varian CP-3800 dual ECD gas chromatograph. I replaced one of the ECD detectors with a TCD, but I have 4 heater wires (?) for which I can't find a location inlet. Also, the GC does not want to communicate with the PC and I believe the GC communications board is to blame. Can anyone refer me to a company specializing in Varian GC parts? I've been patrolling the internet for days, the Varian manuals are completely useless for installing or replacing these materials, and the Varian/Bruker people have been less than helpful.

Thanks.
Not sure where you are located, but there is a Varian (Bruker) system builder in Los Angeles, California area who is excellent and may be able to help.

BTW, are you selling the extra ECD and electronics?

I would try Agilent, we got some Varian service from them. The other option is Wasson-ECE. I understood that they would have access to Varian spare parts by now.
