Hi,
I am a user of the Chromcard software, unfortunately my old computer now refuses to cooperate. So I bought a new computer which is built based on the AIMB-742 motherboard, operating system: Windows 95. Unfortunately chromcard ISA card is not detected. Can you help me with this probemem? I need the addresses and IRQ settings (and other necessities) for this card. Motherboard manufacturer is willing to modify the bios to work with the card.
Thank you for your help.

There are two types of board used with Chromcard. The early cards (two channel) I think had a fixed address which is written on the card. Latter systems used the Chromatography card that had switchable addresses and offered one to four channels.

Windows 95 does not automatically identify the card , you have to follow the installation procedure completely including re-booting the PC. I have not loaded Chromcard V1.21 for years, but I remember it does require care to get it to communicate.

thank you, I have both types of cards. Both have microswitches, but how to set them? An early version should work with address H298, but I do not know the IRQ and other parameters.... :(

From memory the IRQ is not switchable and is IRQ7 It shares the printer port and requires this to be set to allow the dongle to be detected. Note it often will not work if two way communication is requested. When loading the software what errors are detected ? Does it detect the dongle ? Note the card will only be identified after re-booting the PC, it does not plug and play.
