Does anyone know of anywhere that accepts old and empty stainless steel columns for recycling? I am happy to mail them, it just seems a waste of raw materials to just trash them.

I am glad to see there are still chromatographers with a sense of humor. I will look for some creative ways to use my old columns around the house/garden.

I hurl used and old columns at chemists that get out of line at the laboratory. I kid!
Usually, we just throw them away, but are there options out there for recycling?

You can send your old columns to SepServ in Berlin for refilling. (http://www.sepserv.de/erefill.htm).
