Hi there,
Have recently replaced the temp sensor and heater on my FID detector. Put everything back together. When i turned the machine back on I've pressed Det, A, ON and it states FID A is on. When I've pressed Det A Temp it says that it's not installed??!!
Anybody got any ideas what is going on and if so what can i do about it?
Please help!

Hi, no panic!
Cable unplugged or bad contact on a plate?

Hi,
I've checked the wiring that i have replaced or moved. Can't see anything obvious.
Do you know if it may be the wiring that i've replaced that has caused this or is it a separate issue?
I don't know what would cause the detector to not be recognised.
Thanks for your reply.

The most likely suspect is lack of circuit through the temperature sensor or heater cartridge. Check them with a multimeter. Also check that they are plugged into the right places on the board.

Make sure the electrical contacts you put in the black plugs are snug. There should be little brass "ears" that hold the contacts in. You may need to open them up more with a small screwdriver.
