I tried to run GPC for polyacrylic acid (MW=100K) in THF using PLgel column. The detector is a RI detector. But I didn't observe any signal of polyacrylic acid. This is the first time I used PLgel column to separate polyacrylic acid.I tried to inject the polyacrylic acid several times. But I still couldn't observe any signal. Is it because THF is not an appropriate solvent for polyacrylic acid or the polyacrylic acid was absorbed onto the PLgel column?
Thank you very much
Polyacrylic acid is a water soluble polymer and should be analyzed on a GFC column using an aqueous or mostly aqueous mobile phase.

Thank you very much. I will test the PAA polymer in aqueous mobile phase
