sample loops at a given temp + 11 valves to be controlled

Dear all,

I have to implement a given configuration at 6890N GC and I would like to know if you could give me some insight about several facts:

- I need to use 3 sample loops at 60ºC and 5 columns at 70ºC, I don't know how I can get the loops heated at the given temperature. Is there an accessory kit for this purpose?

- I need to use 11 valves, 4 of them solenoid valves, 6 others Valco 2-way valves, and another one a multiposition valve. How would you do the connections? I think that the GC 6890N has only 8 possible positions for the valves, so some of them should be controlled simultaneously, isn't it?

I really thank you in advance for your help.

Hi
It's masochism. This device is to have only two detectors, and five columns in the thermostat will not fit ...

You can have a separately heated oven for columns or for the valve. This is not standard but optional hardware.

You need two solenoids to operate ONE valvo two position valve.

Your insight on the valves is correct. You don't have the right GC to do the task you have at hand.

You should be talking to Valco about options, or at least Agilent service.

There are other process control GC manufacturers who can help you but will you wish to reconfigure the GC in the future? If yes, then stick with Agilent and Valco to help you.

Good luck,

Rod
