Dear friends,
Our company is looking for a ECD for Shimadzu QP2010 plus GCMS. However, we had some issue will Shimadzu. Can I get any ECD from third party for my instrument? If you by chance know it, can you tell me the vendor's name? Thanks a lot!

Good morning.
Technical support from Shimadzu - to put it mildly bizarre and "intended to be a samurai"

. Covered with LC-10.
But you are in what region? It is unlikely that you are satisfied with the information to Moscow ...

Pincer,
If, by your question, you mean can I use an Agilent ECD on a Shimadzu, I would say no. ECD's are built to mate to certain electronics and the ECD boards are meant to marry to the motherboard. If, by your question, you mean can I buy an external ECD then the answer is yes, see companies like Valco and SRI which make external ECD's. If, by your question, can you get a Shimadzu ECD from a third party my suggestion is you get on the web and start looking for used instrument vendors like AIR or Gentech (to name a few.) Your quest will be difficult since ECD's are hard to find due to licensing issues.
Best regards,
AICMM
