analysis of O2-N2 in NF3

Hi,
I have to measure O2-N2 in NF3 with PDID detector using helium as carrier gas. What is the elution time of NF3 in a Molecular Sieve? Is the Molecular Sieve the best column to do this application?

Thanks for your support

I would not expect NF3 to elute from the column unless it is big enough to remain outside the pores in which it would elute at the void volume. Interesting analysis you have there.

Please let us know the result if you can, if 5A or 13X works best.

I would also try Carboxen 1000.

Can you do a backflush and just measure the O2 and N2?

BEST WISHES,

Rod

hi rod,
I'll go with a backflush and a 5A. After elution of O2 and N2, I'll flush out the NF3.

I'll get back to you with some results when I have it.

kind regards
