DMDM Hydantoin/ IPBC HPLC Methods

I am searching for a HPLC method to analyze the following, DMDM Hydantoin and IPBC? Is there any methods available using uv detection?

Biggest question is: are you trying to assay incoming raw material (like Glydant Plus) or looking to quantitate in a finished product? Obviously, situation 1 is much simpler. For that, we've done IPBC using old-Type A RP 18 column, 10 cm x 4.6 mm 5 micron 50% H2O 50% Acetonitrile Flow = 1.00 ml/min. % Solvent B = 50 Wavelength = 235 nm IPBC will elute at about 4 minutes using these conditions. Peak shape should be even better with modern Type B RP-18 columns. For DMDM hydantoin, we used the traditional Nash/Hantzsch colorimetric reaction, although some have used HPLC with post-column reaction to do intact DMDM hydantoin.
We assayed for IPBC this way in product cartons, but finished products contain more interferences such as fragrances. We played with HPLC-MS for that, but there wan't much interest here.
