I am looking to find an online source of GC/LC accessories which individuals can purchase from. I tried to order some fittings from Agilent but soon found out they do not sell to individuals without some sort of website/business letterhead. Anyone know of some distributors of Agilent parts/accessories? I ran across Crawford Scientific and registered but haven't been forwarded a password yet. Thanks!

eBay could be an alternative. Reason why GC/LC manufacturers, distributors etc will not sell to individuals is simple: as an individual you dont have a tax registration number, no company bank account etc.! Does it mean you have an Agilent GC or LC system at home?

Also they will not sell to individuals in case the instruments are being used for less than legal activities!!

There are plenty of 3rd Parties out there who may sell to you.

I think FisherScientific or VWR would be worth a try (as long as you have a credit card and matching address).

Upchurch scientific is easy to purchase from. Just register and have a credit card.

Cn you normally trust what you buy in eBay? i mean of course columns in this case...
I have seen really good prices out there.
The point in here (I think) is that no project will pay for our purchase even if it is going to be used at the university/institute, so I guess we won't be willing to pay 700 euros ourselves just to try out a new column. If your project is running out of money, you may try out these options, if they are reliable.

Not sure if this company sells to the "general public" but we buy our parts from here and the OEM parts prices for Shimadzu and Agilent are below the OEM distributor prices.
