Hi folks, my first post !!

Anyway, I'm looking for a way for Microsoft Excel to directly read result files from Totalchrom servers and extract the appropriate data. Anybody familiar ?

Cheers
Under the Summary Report, click on the tab "File" then select "Edit Format" then go to the "Options" tab. Under this tab there is an option to select to save the report as a .CSV file for MS Excel. It should save this file in the same location as your result files.

Is there any way of Totalchrom automatically creating CSV files with every trace ?
or you export the raw files as such using the (... brain fart... the extension with an "x" in it... RAX?) file type. Then these can be read as a column of abs. values to which you pair times based on your sampling rate. Be careful, it is not difficult to create more entries than Excel can handle in a single column.
Thanks,
DR

I am not sure if this would help as I haven't tried it before but there is an option in the Report Format editor that allows you to "Create ASCII delimited file".
Also and perhaps what DR is referencing you can use the "Convert" function under the "Apps" tab. From there you can select the "TCtoASCII" tab and convert the .raw files to a .rax ASCII file.
