Hi every one

I am working with Agilent 6890 & Gerstel MPS headspace autosampler. My GC cycle time is 2.5 min, my Gerstel MPS headspace agitator mixing time is 15 min and my cycle time is 8 min. With Gerstel MPS headspace autosampler my total run time is 20 min instead of 8 min.

Whenevere I used 6890 with Tekmar Headspace autosampler my total run time is 8 min which is good? What it does is put 3 or 4 vials every
8 min in mixing oven.

Do you have any idia that Gerstel MPS headspace autosampler why does't put more than one vials at a time in to the agitator???
It is a while since I used a Gerstel, but it will certainly queue multiple samples in the agitator if you have the settings right. The operator's manual and the help screens are your friends. Having times that are exact multiples of one another (in this case 2.5 x 6 = 15) often scrambles autosampler's brains.

Peter Apps
Luna,

When you start the sequence do you check the option ''prepahead''?
That's the function that will shrink your cycle time..
