Hello to the community,

I am having some trouble. I hava a 1090 in the lab and everything was fine until today. It shuts down with an EF04 Valve A error. I have been looking in the manuals and I find ED and other errors but no EF. Which valve does it mean? Did anybody have the same trouble?

You are not alone. My friend from the Caucasus (Elista) is not very long ago bought a similar device. And, too, has problems. Too old machine.

I found in old copies of the code of your mistakes.
EF04 EF05 is similar
Switching valve of metering pump has repeatedly failed to swich during initializations. Err lamp on . hp 1090 series l turns off sds . See HP1090 Reference manual (p.p103)
Try to determine what it is expressed physically.
