MS and NMR study

Hello,
I am doing my M.Pharm at BV's college of pharmacy, navi Mumbai..I am working on study of degradation products of active pharmaceutical ingredient.
My question is not actually related to chromatography but to MS and NMR..I am isolating degradation products on preparative TLC for characterization (structure elucidation) with MS and NMR data.....
My questions are ---
1. what is minimum quantity needed for NMR? since i am getting quantities of degradation products in micrograms...
2. what is minimum purity of degaradtion products required? ...as degredents are slightly getting contaminated?
3. Can i get the NMR and MS spectrum in these two conditions for structure elucidation of degradation products?
help in regarding this matter would be highly appreciated.
