Help with Finnigan TSQ 7000
Posted: Wed Apr 20, 2011 6:30 pm
We have recently purchased a used TSQ 7000 that was supposed to be refurbished to working condition. However, upon setting it up we noticed that when the ESI high voltage is turned on there is no voltage. Furthermore, when we click on the ESI button (or type the command) button usually turns red for a moment and then goes back grey. The capillary on the monitors schematic turns red and goes back grey as well. Every once in a while they will both turn red and stay red. From the manual I know that red means there is a problem, but in the trouble shooting section it states that the pressure might be too high. The pressure is in the appropriate region, manifold is about 1x10 -6 torr and frontend is less than 150 mTorr. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be the problem(s) with getting the high voltage to turn on? Thanks for you help on this matter.
Additionally, does anyone know of a engineer or technician that may be of assistance? Contact information would be fantastic.
