I have three 6890s and three 7890s hooked up to 2 computers running Chemstation CDS. What are my options for accessing these computers remotely?

I have used LogMeIn in the past, may try it... but I was just curious what others all may be using.

Thanks,
This depends on how your present system is set up. Do the GC's each have their own IP address and are they on a net work. You just need ChemStation set up on your remote PC and when you configure the GC, just put the IP address in for the GC you wish to access. I have controlled GC's in the USA from Germany using this technique. This way the data will be on your remote PC.

You can also access the PC controlling the GC's in your lab by using remote desktop. This way the data stays on the GC in the lab. In some ways this is a safer way. If you are monitoring a sequence remotely using the first technique and you have a poor lan connecttion, you can loose data, whereas the remote desktop is using your lab PC to control the GC, and if you loose your remote connection, the lab GC will keep running the sequence.

I believe all GCs have IP addresses, the 6890s are N versions. I think in the future we will explore having a third chemstation installed on a remote PC. As of right now I am using remote desktop with Remote Utilities software. Very good and the license is free with up to 10 computers.

Thanks,
