fpd vs fid

i have siemens maxum gc

why the fpd is very hard to ignite comapare to fid?

Because he has another job ratio of hydrogen and air, not equimolar 1 to 10, but about 1 to 1, to enhance the light emission of carbon (soot) , phosphorous oxide and sulfur oxide.

If all your flame gasses are at the correct flows (as given in the instrument manual) then the FPD should light as easily as an FID, but an FPD's detection performance is much more sensitive to small changes in gas flow than an FID's.
