Files extension .C01 and .D01

Hi, this is my first topic!
I've been looked in the other topics something about these files extensions but I can't found nothing, so I created this one.
I made some analysis in a Shimadzu GC-17A and the equipament saved the files into two files (*.D01 and *.C01) but I couldn't find another software to open these files.
I'd like to know if you had already had problems like that and if you suggest something to do.
I wanted to do a comparison between chroms to show a calibration curve I did, and I thought do it using the Origin.
Many thanks,
Thiago

Welcome to the forum!
Going by the file extensions, it looks like you're using the ancient Class-GC10. I'm not familiar with Origin, but looking at the Originlab website it looks like you can import ASCII and CSV files into Origin.
Go back to Class-GC10 and use the file converter (find it in Utility -> Converter) to convert your files. Select Microsoft Excel (.txt) or Microsoft Excel (.csv) as the export format.

Thank you MacGyver,
Actually I'm using Class GC17A.
I mentioned the Origin just to exemplify what I want to do!!!
I'll try to convert the files today and then I'll post here!!!

Hi folks,
the
Shimadzu *.C01/*.D01 format is quite tricky. Anyhow, I successfully decoded it and will make it available within the next OpenChrom preview release. If you'd like to, please send me test files by contacting me:

That's fantastic. Is there any way for to to supply us the plugin to open D01 files?
I cannot wait till the next release of Openchrome.
Please let me know! Thanks in advance!

Hi Olodum,
I'm preparing the next preview release at the moment. It will be published approximately mid of October.
Until then, you could send me files. I could then convert them using my developer version. Please write to:
philip dot wenig at openchrom dot net
Best

Hi,
I also have this jurassic Shimadzu GC-17A and find it almost impossible to export the C01 file to any useful software to work with the spectra.
I´ve recently discovered the OpenChrom and installed the Community Version 0.9.0.
Browsing through the Eclipse Marketplace, I was not able to find the *.C01 FID converter. Is this plugin really available in this Community version?
I can find it listed on the site and can even get the serial number, but cannot find it in the software marketplace.

Hi Marcelo,
yep, the GC-17A is an really odd format. The converter will be available with the release 1.0.0, scheduled for end of July 2015.
But you could also send me some files, so that I can test the converter. Write me an email through our websites contact form:
https://openchrom.net
I would then reply so that you can send me some files.
