I derivatizing fatty acids using bromomethyl methoxy coumarin, to insure that the reaction is complete I am using an excess derivatizing agent which upon analysis gives extremely large peak and saturates the detector, I am wondering if someone is familiar with a cleaning procedure or any method by which I could get rid of the reaction by-products and excess reagent.
Regards
Sarah
