Hi All,
We found one old Tracor 9000 series Gaschromatography in our lab that has been there for a while. This instrument was manufactured in 1990 so it was hooked up with integrator. Now, we don't have original integrator so I am just wondering what kind of integrator should I get for this. Also, it has got PID, FID, and DID so we want to start up this machine. So, just wondering how to find out what kind of integrator to get as we don't have original manual for Tracor 9000.

If you do not intend to run the GC itself from the integrator (which I assume you are not) then it does not really matter too much what integrator you use. You probably have 0-1V output for the detectors so almost any integrator would do. Now, save yourself a lot of headache, and go buy a computerized data system. Integrators make like difficult when they mess up the integration, they make like difficult if you try to go back to old data, they make life difficult seeing big peaks and small peaks in the same run, they make life difficult. They are still used but generally only in applications where they still fit the bill really well.

Much better to buy someones computer data system if you can afford it.
