If there is any expert on LECO pegsus 4D, please help me out from the recent tailling problem by listing the factors that can caused serious peak tailing in GC. Thanks!

Are we talking about tailing in 1D operation or some minor tailing in the second chromatographic dimension?

Other than a minor deviation from "expected" peak shape that appears to be a factor of using a thermal modulator, there is nothing particular about a Pegasus that generates peak tailing that does not happen in any other chromatographic instrument - 1D or 2D. (And having used a Pegasus for several years now, that minor deviation is a non-issue.)

Give us some details as to what you are looking at and perhaps someone can give you a more specific answer.

Pictures, column dimensions, and operating conditions help.
