Metaldehyde UV wavelength?

Hi all,

I have been trying to detect metaldehyde with a method I was supplied, however no UV wavelength was given and after alot of searching I have not be able to find any information on whether metaldahyde actually contains any chromophores.

If anyone has dealt with this compound before any help would be much appreciated.

You need to do derivatisation first. Headspace GC is also possible. Enjoy Googling.

It's a rather simple analyte to analyse using SPE and GC-MS (See link below). Doesn't answer your question regarding an LC method but does provide an alternative.
