Halo everyone,

I need some professional help!

I have the following questions:

In the specification data sheet for 5975E GC/MSD:
http://www.chem.agilent.com/Library/dat ... 5428EN.pdf

It is written:

"Installation checkout specifications - 100:1 S/N of 1 pg OFN with Helium carrier gas"

Does this mean, that an "installation checkout" test is carried out at instrument installation?

What test are carried out at instrument installation, by the service engineer?

Which documents should I look at if I want to check the initial state of the instrument?

Thank you

It is certainly normal practise for a newly installed instrument to have to pass some performance checks. I think that it is now compulsory in regulated laboratories, and I certainly do not accept an instrument until it has been shown to "do what is on the label".

If your instrument did have its installation checks run, then there will be douments to record that - exactly what their headings might be I am not certain. Some of them might be in electonic form in the instrument data files.

The best people to help with this are the Agilent service reps who did the installation.

On a separate point - if you ask for professional help, expect to be sent a bill
