Glycerol impurity

Just scanned a glycerol >99,8% sample on a spectrophotometer. There is a sharp peak with an lambda max of 276nm. Anybody have an idea what this could be? Glycerol shouldn't have UV absorbance?

I dissolved my glycerin sample in alcohol and my sample had no peak in that UV region. My company also manufactures USP glycerin.

Thank you Consumer Products Guy.
I dissolved in water. Glycerol is a stabilizer in our drug product and the impurity interferes with QC analysis.
