Data Transfer into Excel from Stand-alone PC

Hi,

I'm a newbie for using GC. All these while, I had been manually typing the calibration data (area / conc) into an excel spreadsheet (LAN PC). All my GCs are stand-alone and there's no connection to LAN. Is there any way to transfer the data into excel via LIMS function or macro? Currently we are able to transfer data into LIMS via labfx.

Really appreciate help as it's quite tedious having to type 20+ components into excel spreadsheet.

My GC chemstation is B.04.02

Your system must have MS-OFFICE S/W with Excel.
while printing the report go to LOAD THE DATA FILE REPORT..>SPECIFY REPORT....>CHECK THE .XLS BOX and go to report ...> print report.
Then go to your " C" DRIVE .... HP CHEM OR CHEM32........1----DATA....GO TO THE ABOVE DATA FILE FOLDER YOU WILL SEE XL FILE just open the file and click on the bottom tabs.All the data got transfered to your Excel file. Hope this will help you.

Files is files. As long as you can access the other PC, you can copy and paste. In the worst case, copy it to a USB "thumb drive" and use "sneakernet".

Easiest way is with a LAN. If you absolutely cannot use a LAN I'd recommend something simple like a manual 2-port USB switch and an external hard drive. Connect stand alone and LAN PC to switch, switch to external hdd, copy files from stand alone to hdd, flip switch, copy/access files with LAN PC. The switch solution is more complicated if you're running an old OS on the stand alone which needs USB drivers.
