Hello we have an older machine with an Agilent ISA card (model?). I'm trying to configure it to connect to our GC (HP 5890). The software on the machine is Windows 2000 and ChemStation A.10.01. I can upgrade to XP if necessary.

The I/O config tool will recognize the GC address (GBIP 15), but when I try to run ChemStation I get the "Cannot connect to GC, check config" message.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

-Ian
In the IO config set the SICL interface name to "hp82341" (must be lower case), the bus address to 30 and the system controller box should be checked.
Thanks chromatographer, after doing some more searching on here thats the info that I got as well.

Works great!
Yes, even with an 82350 GPIB board, one types in "hp82341".
