How can I prevent the breakdown of DDT? DDT is not breaking down into DDE and DDD it just gets lower on the curve checks. Any insight.

Once your injector and/or column are active enough to react with your analytes then they must be replaced with deactivated parts unless you can deactivate them in situ.
There are many articles on the net about these problems.
Please do a search and pick your best solution.
best wishes,
Rod

Thank you for your input. I will try my best to pass that along to the people that make the decisions. They told me to replace the column and re-calibrate.

I cant help but think of a lab that I visited ocasionally. The standard procedure in that lab was to replace inlet liner and gold seal at the start of the day - just to avoid finding the degredation of DDT and the need to cool the system down and start the day over. (I did not hear much discussion of changing columns.)
