UHPLC columns- companies

Hello all,
We have a waters UPLC system in our lab and we are currently using Waters acquity UPLC shield columns in our lab most of the time for our chromatographic separations. The waters UPLC columns seem to be quite expensive. Can you please let me know the other companies which sell UPLC columns (should be rated upto 15000 psi) equivalent to waters UPLC shield C-18 and Phenyl columns.

Almost everybody sells sub-2 micron columns these days.
If you are looking for "plug and play" equivalence in terms of selectivity, that will be *much* harder. A good place to start is with the USP column equivalence database:
http://www.usp.org/USPNF/columns.html
That will help you find closest equivalents. Then you can go to the vendors' websites to see which of those are available in the UHPLC format.

Agilent has a good variety including eclipse, stablebond, extenz. I've been pleased with them. Also try Phenomenex. Keep in mind you may need a line adapter for different column manufactures. The amount of tubing protruding past the ferrule is different for Waters and Agilent.

Use of a line adapter may affect the system's dead volume. Each piece of tubing in the UPLC has it's own Part No and is maufactured to specific tolerances.
