We have an old Altex 110A but with no operating instructions. If anyone would be willing to scan and email me a copy I would very much appreciate it. Specifically we're after documentation on the external interface/pin connections.

Maybe you need to contact Beckman directly. There is only an analog output on the backside to connect an XY-printer, to monitor flow and/or pressure. Last offer on EBay was $75,- for such a pump, but without manual

Thanks for your reply.
I did try Beckman Australia but I received no reply so I'm trying other options.

We inherited an Altex 110from a company we bought, a binary model, in the early 1980s. I was the only one to use it. I remember it was way different to set up a gradient than Agilent/HP (where one would define the composition at a set timepoint, and the unit would "graph" in thechange of solvent). On the Alex, if you started at 20%B and wanted the gradient to start at 2 minutes, you'd program in like 10%B per minute starting at 2 minutes for a duration of 3 minutes to get it to be 50%B at time of 5 minuts. I believe the instruction manual was in a loose leaf binder which I'm pretty sure we do not have any more, as we've also moved since then. I'll try to remember to look in my hanging files to see if I have anything.
Be patient, someone will have a copy they can PDF for you.
