I am getting 6 flashes of the red light on the HP7673A controller box. According to the manuals this is a "Tray Processor Error". Is this correct and how do I resolve the issue?
I have the tray cord plugged into the controller box into its proper com board, the HPIB com from the controller box connected to the back of the GC, along with the MSD and the computer HPIB (ie - they are all three piggy backed onto the GC). Do I have the system configured correctly?
Thanks for any help!

Has this system been OK for a while, and just started doing this without any changes? Or did you just change/install/do something, and this happend immediately after that?
As to HPIB cables, doesn't matter how they are connected, as long as one goes from computer to a module, and piggybacks to all other modules.
Does your control box match the tray/injector?

This system was up and running at another company and was purchased and moved to a new lab. To my knowledge all the autoloader parts are alike. There was a barcode reader with the system and is not currently installed so I wondered if that could be the cause but didn't really understand why that would give a Tray Error. I think I have all the cables connected properly but evidently something is not right either with the tray or my setup. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

				Hi,
Just a thought: I don't know if wrong HPIB address generates this kind of error, so besides conncting HPIB cables, do yo have the right HPIB address?

This is what I'd try: shut off all power, open up the control box, and take out the circuit board for the bar code reader, then power on everything and start up.
Or install the bar code reader cable.
