Pyrolysis of quaternary amine salts in liner

I have a method that specifies using a specialized liner for the analysis of quaternary amine salts:
"liner shall be loosely packed with a plug of 10% SE-30 on 80/100 Supelcoport"
I would like to switch to another type of "normal" liner, such as a glass wool packed liner, for this pyrolysis analysis. Has anyone sucessfully switched from this older technology? Any method development tips for me?
