Hi, have a look at
www.dataapex.com in Prague.
I have a Shimadzu running under their software doing well at under $3800.00
Controls, and data reduction including DAD.

Maintanance is the same as standard UFLC system, i.e. very reliable under 15,000 psi. Note that it is builted to go up to 3 mL/min and 19,000 psi.
We have tested successfully its compatibility with Empower and PDA detector.
Hope this helps,
Yves

I can let you know in a couple of weeks how we are getting on with the Nexera UHPLC when it is connected to our production Empower server.
I can confirm that Empower does indeed offer full control of the Nexera UHPLC system (including the extended sample capacity module).

I would like to know the experience with connection of Nexera to Enterprise Empower (stability, robustness etc.). What about hardware in comparison with ACQUITY UPLC? Thanks

Hello, do you have some experience with sensitivity (or signal to noise ratio) of Shimadzu PDA detector? The volume of UV detector cell seems to be large (at least according to specification). Thanks.

Hello,
If you need a smaller cell than the one provided standard with the Shimadzu, it is available. It depends if you want to use the full range of injection volume that the Nexera can offer. Remember that less distance is done by the light through the cell, less sensitivity comes with it, this applies to any brand, Beers law!
You have to consider the system in its whole. Not only the specs in specs sheet, that may or may not represent the reality. Most major brand will have decent detectors. For DAD, under a parallel study done a couple of years ago, only 3 manufacturers had acceptable DAD detectors, Shimadzu was one of them...
Don't forget sampling speed, over 90 Hz, you start to have enough data points to do U-HPLC. Take time to discuss with each rep and ask many questions, you will find very rapidly what product is best for you !
Regards,
Yves
