Hello,
Do you have any experience with carbohydrates analysis by GC-MS. Which column, parameteres?
In order to get these compounds though a GC column you will probably need to derivatize them. The non-derivatized form is too polar and will stick to most stationary phase. The scientific literature has many examples of trimethyl silyl and acetate derivatives. The NIST08 Mass Spectral Database and the NIST Retention Index Databases have a large numbers citations with detailed methods.
