Journal of Chromatography.

It's actually two journals: A (the original) and B (bio). Each has its own pagination.

It is in the journal listing:

"Study of the high-performance liquid chromatographic separation of reducing sugars, applied to the determination of lactose in milk" Original Research Article.

Journal of Chromatography A, Volume 259, 1983, Pages 79-86.

C. Brons, C. Olieman

The Journal of Chromatography wasn't divided into A and B series until 1993. Therefore, the reference for this particular article doesn't have either letter in it.

The Journal of Chromatography wasn't divided into A and B series until 1993. Therefore, the reference for this particular article doesn't have either letter in it.

Searching in Science Direct, the reference does come up as "Journal of Chromatography A, Volume 259, 1983, Pages 79-86"

This would suggest that in searches, pre-1993 journal articles are regarded as "Journal of Chromatography A" material.
