Team, I need some help here, just finished doing the maintainence on the 717 autosampler by changing needle, seal pack etc. using the full kit . Now i have done the purge and transducer checks all passed but when i do the seal pack calibration it shows CAL: Top sensor too low can some one please advise me on how to fix this?

Thanks.
Well for starters, You need to check the sensors on the Injector. Verify the flag is in between both sensors.
Did you adjust the sensors while you had the Injector out for Maintenance? If you haven't adjusted the sensors maybe re-install the old seal pack and see if the adjust seals routine completes. Possibly a faulty seal pack, faulty Injector sensor...
I take it that you have used a full pm kit with the seal pack already built?

if so, I would adjust the sensor bracket 1/4 turn anticlockwise at a time and rerun the seal cal. you might have to repeat this a few times until you get it to pass, make sure you have a steady pressure, I normally run it at the higher end of the range recommended.
NKG , thanks that worked, and yes i used a full pm kit. it was passed. Now we ran some samples and for some reason we weren.t getting a full peak , everything else checked out including the pumps and all . I was told by supplier to run a acetone /water sample and checked peak it verified that the autosampler was not to par. he adviced us to re-calibrate ie. Auto purge, auto-zero and seal count. Well this is where it failed at seal count. Flow rate set at 0.5ml/min pressure set at 600 psi and when we run seal count it fails saying pressure below 400!. Using degassed methanol.

I replaced with old seal and same error. I have re-checked pumps, notice there is methanol coming from bottom of seal pack.No liquid flows from red tube.
717's are funny you need to run 100% methanol and need to generate about 600-700psi back pressure on the seal pack when doing the test. Also you may need to adjust the sensor depth, simply take a regular union and place it between the adjust screw and the base so it sits flat on the base and top. Tighten the screw so its the height of the union. You'll be close to the factory settings. Also if your using aftermarket seal packs or needles the sensor adjustment might need to be played with to achieve proper alignment.
