I have been using Chemstation, and we are finally upgrading to Openlabs. What do I need to do to be able to use all of my old methods? Will I haev to re-enter everything, or can OpenLabs read the old file format? Thanks in advance
I think your issue will depend on whether the Chemstation is significantly newer than what you had been using. The OpenLab is just a surface overlaying the Chemstation, so once you log in to OpenLab, there is your Chemstation. Your installer may need to copy your method and sequence directories in for you, it does not "apparently" let one copy the existing methods in from flash drive, CD, etc. as far as I can tell. But I'd be interested to learn how if that's possible.
Agilent offers migration tools for easier data migration from older systems. I would prefer asking them what they have to offer. Don't know if they are feasible if youre running old revisions of Chemstation.
