I need a syringe solvent to remove C2-C4 VOAcids to prevent needle contamination. We have
used MeOH and EtOH but still experience VOA carry over in our di H2O blanks (0 ppm). The GC
column is a Nukol, 15m,0.53mm, 0.5 um thickness. We cannot use a solvent thay may cause
a precipatate with the organic biomass water extracted samples.

For zero carryover from syringes you have to take the piston out, pull solvent through the syringe and wash the piston separatly. The solvents you mentioned should be OK.
