Hi

I am using a 250 uL gas tight syringe (from Vici) with an integrated valve to seal the sample in the syringe. I take out a sample from the headspace of bottles in which the gas is under pressure (0-2barg).

My concern is that I wont know if my syringe starts leaking. Do any of you have ideas how I might perform a check of the syringe.

Do you have a reference sample that is always made up the same way - including pressure in the vial? If so, would consistancy of the results of that sample work?
Maybe you could immerse the syringe under water and press down on the plunger to see if it leaks from the needle or passes by the plunger seal.
