We are adquiring a new ion chromatography equipment. We have two good options.
One sais it is possible to separate organic acids in isocratic mode. Is it true?
We analyse CN-, S--, cianocomplexes, SnO8 (n= 1 to 6), organic acid, some transition metals.

No, not in any useful way unless you limit your intrest to a small subset of monovalent and divalent acids

An interesting option (despite the fact that you have a brand new IC) could be HILIC since then the retention will not be that strongly related to charge, more to hydrophilicity.

However, for complicated samples and large span in charge it may prove to be hard to resolve in isocratic mode also with HILIC. So far there are too few applications available in this area.

Gradient IC actually can work real nice if you have a high capacity suppression system.
