currently using preparative chromatography. The product is 2-propanol solution. How can I get rid of the propanol and get the real solute?
what usually do except for nitrogen evaporation?

Recovering a compund depends on both the solvent, the compund and the volume of solvent to be removed.

Small volumes of isopropanol can be removed with a gentle stream of nitrogen. The next question is will your compund of interest evaporate away as well?

Some things can be forced out solution by adding another liquid to the solvent.
