Hello All, I am using a SEDEX ELSD and having an issue with solvent "pooling" at the bottom of the nebulizer. Can somesuggest a solution?
Thanks,

Which model?

The newer ones have a downward facing nebuliser with the drain tube at the lowest point.

Chek that your solvent drain trap is not so full that liquid isnt draining properly.

IIRC the SEDEX 55 I used in the mid/late 90's had that design.

I've seen that as well as well and also saw that happen if the drain line got crimped.

you might as well opt for the automatic nebulizer sold out the market.. never better than ever..

You might also have problems if you connect the "waste" evaporation tube on the back of the ELSD to a higher than necessary vacuum or if you have immiscible solvent combination during evaporation at the nebulizer
