Hi,
Long time reader first time poster .
Just would like to know , does anyone have a method , link etc on how to replace the oil seals on my Waters 600 pump?

I was told that the oil has to be drained and a special tool needs to be used. Any suggestions or methods if anyone has would be helpful.
Thank you.

I can't remember with the 600 but I think it is pretty similar to the 515. if there is only the original seal in place, there is just enough room to put the new one in front of it. this saves the hassle of trying to get the original seal out. when installing the new seal smear a bit of oil around the outer edge, then push in a bit at time (top, bottom , side etc) using a flat edged tool ( socket drive extension or something similar. if you have a socket the right size to fit the seal this makes it easier as you can drive the seal in a lot quicker.
hope it is the same as the 515!

Hi,

As the other user has said, you could place another seal over the first one. This can be done for the maximum of two seals.
There isn't a special tool, but if you haven't replaced one before or at least seen it done before it can be ackward to do.
If I was you I'd put another seal over the first one. If that fails then come back and we could try to talk you through what is required.
I've done it once or twice before.

Anthony.
