I'm very new to the HPLC. I just start learn and master the analytical HPLC. Then, i need to scale up my sample through preparative HPLC. I haven't run prep HPLC before. Before this, i run analytical HPLC, i dissolve my sample in MeOH (1mg/ml) in order to run in reverse phase column.

Right now, i am facing the problem in prepare Prep HPLC sample. Total amount of my sample is only 100 mg. I found out through the internet, there are vary concentration i can prepare.

Let say if i want prepare 20 mg/ml. Is it i need to dissolve my sample in 1 ml of MeOH? But, is it the concentration too high for MeOH to dissolve? instead of MeOH, i better to use DMSO to dissolve my sample?

The DMSO is a HPLC grade or normal anayltical grade can be used?

Thank You
