H2S measurement by PFPD

Good afternoon,

We are in the process of calibrating a PFPD for H2S measurement in natural gas.

When injecting a 25 ppm H2S in air standard we are seeing a "peak" at a retention time where H2S is expected. However, we are not seeing a sharp peak but a rounded low peak with extended tailing (I hope I have described that well enough to understand).

Are there any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

Thanks.

Metal exposed at the injector or elsewhere in the flow path of the injected analyte,

A column what is not inert to strongly acidic analytes like H2S
