Problem with a Pharmacia UV detector

Hi,

this is the first time for me to post to this forum. I'm an IT technician at the Nuclear Medicine Unit, University of Florence (Italy).

We have been using a Pharmacia-LKB Uvicord VW 2251 UV detector for a long time in our Radiochemical Laboratory. Unfortunately, a few days ago our device stopped working. We tried to switch the power off and on a few times: after a random number of attempts, the detector restarts; but, of course, this is not a healthy way to power on an electromechanical device ...

So we are now looking for any help: service manual, schematics, or an advice from anyone who had a similar experience with the same UV detector. Unfortunately GE Life Sciences, who inherited Pharmacia brand, cannot support us in any way.

Many thanks in advance,
Giannetto Comis

since the Pharmacia-LKB UV detector was a Knauer OEM product. So the manufacturer was the company Knauer in Berlin, Germany, and their distributor in Italy is the company Labservice. Give my regards to Michele. I'm sure he will help you.
