How I could generate the chemstation files (*.d) from GC 7890/Chem B.03.02 with format that could be read by earlier version or any help to be able converting between the different chemstation files (*.d) format "

I would try exporting as AIA. Try clicking on a datafile in data analysis mode, go to export and select AIA. Then move it to whatever computer you're trying to load it on and see if you can view it.

If you want to export multiple files click the check box to the left of each datafile, select them all and then right click and export it the same way. If the option is grayed out you might not have them selected right, just try it again.

to clarify, your output will be a folder called whatever.AIA and then within that folder each of the data files will be in .CDF format.

Thank you very much for your reply. I could generate the AIA file from the export menu and then import it in earlier version.

But my main problem that we get new instrument GC7890 with Chemstation B.03, and most of our GC machines rather GC 6890 or 5890 with A10 or B.02 Chemstation. I was hoping to get some help to modify the method parameter or GC instrument parameters/configurations to generate the channel file direct during analysis with format that could be read from earlier software’s. It will be more powerful for us rather than export and import. I hope you understand my problem. Anyway thank you very much for your earlier reply.

You're looking for files that can be read through your older software directly with no export? I'm not sure you'll be able to this, the A revision of chemstation is used on a 16 bit system and the B revision is for 32 bit computers. I'm not completely sure this would prevent you from doing what you want to do, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

What error do you get if you try to open the .d file in the older rev of chemstation?

When I try to open by B.02 SR1 software, I received error message "no signal(s) available.
