Hi all,

We have to analyze chitosan oligomers. The conditions in the application is :

Column: aminopropyl ( 300x3.9x5), with ACN/H2H 70:30. RI detection.

But we do not have aminopropyl column but Amirex (HPX-87C) from BioRad.
Can I use instead and if yes, what are the condittions?

Thanks for any help

You can try the Aminex but I'm going to guess no way. Glucosamine comes out near the void and your larger oligomers are going to come out sooner so I would expect all oligomers of glucosamine to coelute.

The aminopropyl sounds promising.

Thank you for the help. I will come back to the amiino column.
