Entering column dimensions into 6890

6890 - have one purge/packed inlet set up for packed columns and one split/splitless inlet for capillary work...

Is it necessary (or even possible) to enter the proper dimensions for the packed columns as you would for the capillary columns, or is flow rate not calculated from the packed column dimensions? Probably a beginner question, but don't use the packed columns much .

Thanks

If the dimensions are unknown the inlet is in pressure control mode and you specify pressure. If you input dimensions it switches to flow control mode and you are able to run in constant or ramped flow modes I believe.
